The 5th Scientific Workshop of X-NOISE EV, also named the 19th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in La Rochelle, France, on September 23-25, 2015.

There were 5 keynotes and 24 contribution papers presented.


The workshop was held 5-6 May 2015, in Iasi, Romania, organised by COMOTI (Romanian research & development institute for gas turbines) and Iasi International Airport. This event was the continuation of the workshop “Future Trends in Aviation Noise Research”.



The workshop on “Future Trends in Aviation Noise Research” was organised the 1st & 2nd of October 2014 under the auspices of ACARE and hosted by the European Commission in Brussels.



The Scientific Workshop of X-NOISE EV, also named the 18th CEAS-ASC Workshop  was held in “ Vilnius Gediminas Technical University”, Lithuania, on September 25-26, 2014. It was organized by Pr. Aleksandras Jagniatinskis. Its title was “Aircraft Noise Reduction by Flow Control and  Active/Adaptive Techniques” and the scientific chairman was Pr. Oleksander Zaporozhets (National Aviation University, Ukraine).

There were 11 contribution papers presented.


The 3rd Scientific Workshop of X-NOISE EV, also named the 17th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in Sevilla, Spain, on September 24-25, 2013.

There were 3 keynotes and 17 contribution papers presented.


The 2nd Scientific Workshop of X-NOISE EV, also named the 16th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in Braunschweig, Germany , on October 11-12, 2012.

There were 3 keynotes and 12 contribution papers presented.

OPENAIR Workshop for preparing full scale demonstration

The currently running OPENAIR project focused on aircraft noise reduction technologies is now developing preliminary
plans and recommendations to support further increase of those technologies readiness level beyond the end of the
project. A first step consisted in organizing a dedicated event aimed at identifying the available expertise that could
help to realize the next phase of technology validation with full scale demonstrators.


Acoustic Liners and Associated Propagation Techniques

The 1st Scientific Workshop of X-NOISE EV, also named the 15th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland, on October 13-14, 2011.

There were 27 contribution papers presented.
The workshop was also co-sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. 80 participants coming from 21 countries attended the workshop. [more]

Aeroacoustics of high-speed aircraft propellers & open rotors

The 5th Scientific Workshop of X3-NOISE, also named the 14th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in the Institute of Aviation, Warsaw, Poland, on October 7-8, 2010. The workshop had three keynote speakers and there were 14 contribution papers presented to 61 participants coming from 16 countries. [more]

Resolving uncertainties in airframe noise testing and CAA code validation

The 2009 X3-Noise/ CEAS-ASC workshop was organised by COMOTI and DLR and was held 1st and 2nd October 2009 at the Palace of Parliament, Bucharest. The workshop had three keynote speakers and  four sessions with 15 contribution papers and 49 participants. [more ]

The 12th annual Workshop of CEAS-ASC and 3rd Scientific Workshop of  X3-Noise on the topic "Turbomachinery Broadband Noise" was held on 23th & 24th October in Bilbao, Spain, at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao and it was organized by both the Centro de Tecnologias Aeronauticas (CTA, Bilbao) and the Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aerospacial (INTA, Madrid). Environmental Interdependencies

Aeroacoustics of Supersonic Transport

The  2003 X2-NOISE Workshop, coupled with the 7th CEAS-ASC Workshop, was held in Prague.
